In 1987, as residents of Cape Cod, we became interested in looking to purchase a timeshare in one of the most fabulous locations in New England: Newport, Rhode Island. There were several Fairfield Resorts there that had some very interesting Timeshare locations within downtown -- all of which were positioned on the Beautiful Newport Harbor. After visiting most of these and listening to the Sales pitches, we were excited by one option that fit all of our requirements: Fairfield Inn on the Harbor. We immediately Contracted with Fairfield to purchase a 1-Bedroom end unit on the top floor which is facing the exquisite view of the Marinas and Harbor. From that room, we are a few short steps up to the rooftop where we can have beautiful 360-degrees of viewing the whole Newport area in addition to open air lounging facilities.
This annual Unit is Week #40 which is the 1st week in October and also the Columbus Day time-period for “end of season festivities” in Newport.
Soon after 1987, The Fairfield Resort was purchased by Wyndham (one of the major international Timeshare Owners) who now offer additional services to Inn on the Harbor owners.
