GLOSSARY
Associate
Locations - additional non-Fairfield developed or managed resorts
where occupancy may be available for FairShare Plus for a limited period
of time, seasons and accommodations.
Discovery
Member - a participant in the Discovery program who is entitled
to use various benefits and features of FairShare Plus for one year.
Doubleshare/Lockoff
Unit - a FairShare unit which can be divided into separate A and
B sides and can be used as a large single unit or as two smaller and
separate units.
FairShare
Vacation Owners' Association - the non-profit corporation made up
of all Members of the FairShare Vacation Plan.
Fairfield
Vacation Plan Trust - the Trust to which the Use Rights for the
Ownership Interests of Members have been assigned for a term of years.
Also referred to as the FairShare Vacation Plan, Vacation Plan, Vacation
Program and/or FairShare Plus.
Limited
Account Points - points which have their reservation Use Rights
restricted to the 30 days prior to arrival day because of a late cancellation
by a Member.
Plan
Manager - the administrator and manager of the FairShare Vacation
Plan.
Points
- the symbolic value allocated to a Discovery Member. Points are
used to establish value for seasons, unit size and resort locations.
Season
- the time divisions into which the use days at each resort or association
are divided.
Unit
Type - the size, configuration, style, sleeping capacity and other
features of lodging accommodations.
Use
Year - the 12-month period during which a Member must use the point
allocation.
Use
Year End Date - the last day of the 12-month Use Year. It is on
this day that the points allocated to a Discovery Member expire.
Use
Year Start Date - the first day of the 12-month Use Year. It is
on this day that the points allocated to a Discovery Member begin.
